Proxy Earth Free Mobile Number Location Tracking: A website operating under the name ProxyEarth has raised serious alarm among mobile users in India. The platform claims to reveal personal information — and in some cases even the live location — of anyone in the country, using nothing more than their phone number. For many, the ease with which such sensitive data can be accessed has triggered deep privacy concerns and renewed scrutiny of how telecom records are being handled.

How ProxyEarth is Publishing Private Data

Visitors to the site can enter any Indian phone number and, within seconds, see personal details attached to that SIM profile. These include full name, father’s name, residential address, alternate phone numbers and email IDs.

Based on tests and statements made by the creator, the site appears to pull information from telecom registration databases. Data collected during SIM verification by operators such as Airtel, Jio and Vodafone may have been leaked and scraped, then repackaged into a searchable directory. In some cases, ProxyEarth also attempts to triangulate live location using nearby cellular tower data, though accuracy varies.

The creator, known only as “Rakesh,” insists the site is not doing anything illegal and says all information “was already leaked online.” He told India Today that the platform also helps promote his other sites, some of which reportedly host pirated content.

Serious Risks and Privacy Concerns

Cybersecurity analysts are unanimous: while the data may have derived from older leaks, putting it into a live public directory causes vastly greater harm. Everything from addresses, family details and alternative phone numbers can be used to facilitate identity theft, impersonation, phishing, SIM swap fraud or stalking.

Digital rights groups have also noted that the incident raises uncomfortable questions about how telecom data are stored, who has access to them and whether past breaches have been properly explored.

Website Still Active, No Official Action Yet

ProxyEarth has been available for almost a whole week and is still up and running, open on top of6internet. No public response by the authorities or confirmation on any takedown has been given. In the meantime, the site’s proprietor is still engaged on social media, spotlighting what may continue to be of interest there.

For the moment, however, the exposure is another illustration that personal data tied to SIM registration has special sensitivity. Those concerned about privacy should remain on the lookout, control where they divulge phone numbers and keep an eye out for suspicious account activity.
