Elon Musk, the new owner of micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter), who has introduced a variety of changes under the premium membership has now announced a new feature called ‘Articles’. The Articles will allow the users to share the long-form content on the platform and will be only available for the Premium users. The paid users will be able to post articles on the platform with stylised text, embedded images and videos.
Articles can contain text as well as GIFs, photos, videos, posts, and links. Additionally, you may format text using headings, subheadings, strikethrough, bold, italics, indentation, numbers, and bulleted lists.
"Articles is a new way to share long-form written content on X. Publishing Articles is a feature limited to Premium+ subscribers and Verified Organisations. Articles are available globally," the company said in a statement.
The business stated that after an item is published, anybody on X can read and share it based on the audience controls you've chosen.
How To Use Articles On X:
To write an article, go to x.com's side menu, select the Articles tab, click write, and when you're done, publish. After that, the Articles tab on your profile will have your article online. The social media platform also mentioned that you can make changes to the article after it has been published or even remove it completely.
In the meantime, the Tesla boss is also planning to remove the number of likes and reposts from the feed of users. After the change, the users will only be able to see the number of views on a dedicated post. The netizens brutally trolled Musk saying that it is a completely stupid idea and it will greatly reduce engagement.
