Samsung has only just shown off its first trifold device, but the company is already pivoting toward its next big mainstream launch. The Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to arrive early next year, and a fresh software-level leak is offering the clearest look yet at what Samsung may be preparing across the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

One UI 8.5 Reveals Early Design Renders

According to internal assets spotted inside OneUI 8.5, the upcoming Galaxy S26 series appears to be settling into a more defined design language. The embedded renders show the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus using a vertically stacked triple rear camera layout housed inside a dedicated camera island. This lines up with earlier visuals shared by reliable industry sources.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra, however, takes a slightly different route. The software assets show three vertically aligned rear cameras within the island, supported by two additional sensors. The overall shape keeps Samsung’s Ultra identity intact while refining the layout rather than reimagining it.

Charging Gets A Boost With Super Fast Charging 3.0

Beyond design, the teardown also hints at Super Fast Charging 3.0 support across the series. While Samsung has not confirmed any numbers yet, this points toward both wired and wireless charging improvements. It suggests the S26 family may finally get the speed bump users have been waiting for.

Expected Upgrades On The Galaxy S26 Ultra

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is shaping up to receive one of the most noticeable internal upgrades. It is expected to move to a 10-bit display capable of producing over 1 billion colours. While it still falls short of the 12-bit panels seen on some rivals, it is a meaningful jump from older 8-bit Samsung flagships.

On the camera side, Samsung is unlikely to shift hardware significantly. Most refinements are expected to come from software processing and the updated ISP on the new chipset. The Ultra model is tipped to run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy paired with 12GB RAM. Battery capacity should remain at 5000 mAh, but charging speed is expected to increase to 60 W, enabling a 0 to 80 per cent charge in roughly half an hour.

What To Expect From The Standard Galaxy S26

Details about the base Galaxy S26 remain limited. Development is still underway, but early reports suggest Samsung plans to use the Exynos 2600 chipset as part of its broader effort to strengthen its in-house silicon roadmap. For now, other upgrades appear incremental, mirroring the overall design philosophy seen in the Ultra leak.
