Google has already added Gems and improved Imagen 3 for Gemini, and it is reportedly rolling out a new feature called Ask about this screen on Android devices. Users can utilise this feature to get YouTube videos, screen summaries as well as responses to related questions. The feature was previously available only on Pixel 9 phones, but it is now being rolled out to other smartphones.
To use it, users must first start the Gemini AI assistant by long-pressing the power button. Users will notice the Ask about this screen option at the top. Users will need to hit the button, which will then snap a screenshot of what is on the screen and share it with the Gemini AI.

Following that, users may ask enquiries regarding the objects on display. However, the users will not get the information from the entire web page. For example, if you open a blog article, the feature will allow you to summarise what is on the screen rather than the entire web page. Do note that it does not allow you to take longer screenshots.
Users can also use the Ask about this video option in the same way that they use the Ask about this screen feature. Users can also use the "Ask about this video" feature while watching a YouTube video. The option appears on YouTube videos with captions but is also available on videos without captions.

If you use the Ask about this video function, the Gemini AI will provide a summary of the video's content as well as answers to your particular queries about it. It should be noted that the feature perfectly works with captioned videos and does not assess the visuals.
