Google Pixel 8a is expected to make its debut at the Google IO 2024 which is reportedly scheduled for May 2024. In the latest update, the price of the upcoming Pixel 8a has been tipped in a report. Google Pixel ‘a’ series is always denoted as the affordable models which are introduced for mid-range buyers. However, this time Google Pixel 8a is expected to move out of the segment and may be priced higher than expected.
According to WinFuture, the Google Pixel 8a will return in two storage options and four colour variants. However, according to the report, the Pixel 8a will be more expensive than its predecessors, possibly exceeding Rs 50,000, a significant hike from the Pixel 7a's pricing of under Rs 45,000.
According to retail data, the Google Pixel 8a will have either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, with no evidence of a greater memory trim this year. Previously, Google focused on offering inexpensive variants with significant discounts soon after introduction to increase sales.
According to WinFuture, Google Pixel 8a will be available in four different colours including Obsidian, Bay, Porcelain, and Mint. There are speculations that not all the colour variants will be available with both colours. As per the report, the 256 GB will come with "Obsidian" (black).
It was previously tipped that the Pixel 8a is expected to have the same design as the Pixel 8. It is also expected that the smartphone may get the curved edges, dual camera setup and Google's latest Tensor G3 chipset. However, the company has not confirmed any specific update on the smartphone at the time of writing this article.
Do note that the company has not announced the official release date of the Google Pixel 8a and all of the above information is based on the leaks and speculations.
