ARTIFICIAL Intelligence can write great pieces. To utilise these capabilities of generative AI, Grammarly has announced its new AI-backed GrammarlyGO. The new AI engine is expected to debut soon for users having a premium subscription. Meanwhile, the closed beta for developers and Early Access for Teams are live on the website.
GrammarlyGO Features
Sailing with a Grammarly blog, the new assistant keeps track of the context, preferences and goals to generate output on user demand. A user can describe the requirements in a couple of words, and GrammarlyGO can prepare a high-quality draft keeping the base point in mind. Plus, it can frame text in customised tones, increase/decrease the length of drafts, enhance clarity of thoughts in written pieces, reply to emails with minimal inputs, and do more things.
The new service will work across emails and documents apart from the platform's workspace. As far as data collection goes, information entered on the app will be shared with the partners for providing the AI experience, the platform mentions in FAQs. However, the data will not to used for training/improving the model or any of its products.
GrammarlyGO Availability
Majority of the Premium, Business and Education (higher education) accounts on Grammarly will have access to the beta which will roll out in April. Plus, it will float to free accounts in the UK, US, Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Poland and Ukraine, according to Grammarly. The list of countries will expand with time.
While the new AI service seems interesting and useful at first glance, we will have to wait until the launch to make a conclusive decision on its utility. This is vital because AI tools in the past have promised conversational outputs, but the results have been prone to errors and misinformation.
Since the launch of OpenAI's ChatGPT, top tech companies and platforms are racing to integrate AI tools into their products. The developments come amid the rise of ChatGPT in the AI space. Be it writing novels or doing homework, the AI model can accomplish them along with different tasks for users. It seems the writing and editing platform is aiming to offer similar functionality to users and aid their writing-based works.
