CUPERTINO-BASED Apple is gearing up to host the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event this year from June 5 to June 9. The much-awaited event is already subject to a wide range of rumours because of the possible hardware and software announcements it will bring. One such hyped overhaul would be the iOS 17. In the latest reveals a detailed leak regarding the upcoming has surfaced.

Twitter user @analyst941, who holds a good background in leaks, shared a thread compiling the feature set that iOS 17 might debut with. Here are the top 10 pointers encompassing the essential details the user reportedly shared.

- iOS 17 will likely run on all devices currently running iOS 16, including "all A11 Bionic powered devices." This includes iPhone 8 and iPhone X. The first beta might be hard to digest for the 3GB RAM models. However, things will improve over time.

- The upgrade will focus on performance, efficiency, stability, and prolonged support for old devices.

- Control Centre will witness changes in UI and have improved customisations.

- Dynamic Island will get more functionality and use cases. It was among the pressing demands of the marketing team to boost sales of the vanilla model, the user stated.

- Settings to Always On and Focus Mode will be added.

- Custom Accessibility settings will allow "total control" for the convenience of older groups and the young in the UI.

- Active Widgets are undergoing trials. However, it is not confirmed yet. If they arrive, it will have "one-tap buttons, sliders" and more.

- Health UI, specifically "Favorites" will change.

- Changes in the camera app will also be there.

A heavily approved search and spotlight along with "absolute behemoth of ARKit API's/frameworks. Don't take that lightly either, a metric ton of them."

Further, the user notes contrary to the prevailing rumours, the iPhone 15 Pro will come with solid-state buttons. The user adds that questions regarding the debut of iPadOS 17 on A9 and A10 Fusion iPads remain unsolved. Plus, 941 adds that redesigned icons are not on rolls. Side loading in the EU gets a green tick from the user.

Meanwhile, coming to hardware, the product lineup could likely witness revamped upgrades or new announcements, such as the highly anticipated VR/AR headset, iMacs and more.
