iOS 18 Release Date: Apple after announcing the iPhone 16 series globally has announced that the iOS 18 update with Apple Intelligence features will be rolling out to new devices next week. First announced at the WWDC 2024, the iOS 18 will come with some massive upgrades for iPhone users including the AI-powered Siri, a control panel, new customisations, a revamped Photos application and so much more. But the question is when will iOS 18 be released and which devices are supported.

iOS 18 Release Date:

Apple has officially confirmed that the iOS 18 will be coming to the devices next week, September 16. The new update will bring all the customisation options and other features to the eligible iPhones next week including the home screen customisation, dark mode for applications, new lock screen options and much more.

The Apple Intelligence features will roll out as a free update with the iOS 18.1 update. The smart Siri, Image Playground and other massive AI features will be rolling out in a few months. Apple has also announced that the Apple Intelligence features will first roll out with English support and will later be expanded to the Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish languages.

Do note that Apple Intelligence features will only be available for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max along with iPhone 16 series.

iOS 18 Features:

The iOS 18 features include home screen customisations, a revamped control panel with quick access to connected devices and other features. The iOS 18 also gets App Lock for an additional layer of security and privacy. With the iOS 18 release, the users will be able to get RCS messaging support, increasing compatibility. It also includes emoji and sticker tapbacks, scheduled messages, text formatting, and integrated text effects.

Apple will also offer smarter Mail with sorting options and smarter notifications. It also includes the game mode.

Here are the steps to download the iOS 18 update.

1. Go to Settings
2. Search for Software
3. Click on Update

iOS 18 Beta Download Steps:

1. Go to Settings then General and tap on Software Update.

2. Go to the Apple Beta Program website and sign up with the same Apple ID you use on your phone.

3. Select iOS 18 and then update your iPhone. Now reboot.
