On October 20th, iQOO will release their flagship phone, the iQOO 15, in Shenzhen China. Ahead of its debut, Antutu shared an unboxing video showing off its Legend Edition smartphone. Although the video is in Chinese, there are numerous visible design cues and hardware details which should give an idea of its potential capabilities.

iQOO 15 Design and Build

The Legend Edition comes in a black-colored retail box, with the rear panel featuring AG frosted glass and an AF coating. Highlighting iQOO’s partnership with BMW M Motorsport, the panel displays the “Monster Inside” branding along with a blue-red accent.

Key design details include:

- Flatter back panel compared to the iQOO 13.

- Triple-camera setup housed in a circular island, with LEDs now arranged around the ring.

- Punch-hole display on the front.

- Metal frame construction, confirmed by visible antenna lines.

- The buttons: Power and volume rocker on the right; USB-C port, mic. speaker grill, and SIM slot on the bottom side; secondary mic., IR blaster, & speaker in the top.

The retail box also contains a premium-quality protective case, and you can even order color-matching cases for other versions — they are a far cry from the regular clear one that the iQOO 13 includes.

Charging and Battery

One aspect that has changed, and everyone will get a kick out of this one: charging speed. The iQOO 15 is paired with a 100W FlashCharger, which suggests that this smartphone will only go up to 100W on wired charging having transitioned down from the iQOO 13’s 120W.

Now, the good news: The iQOO 15 is believed to be getting a 7,000mAh battery — quite an improvement over the iQOO 13’s 6,150mAh (Chinese/global model) and 6,000mAh (Indian variant). This trade-off of a slower charging but larger battery might lead to better performance overall.

Confirmed Specifications

A full spec sheet hasn’t been officially shared at this stage, but iQOO has revealed a number of key features:

Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC

Software: OriginOS 6

Display: 6.85-inch 2K panel with 144Hz refresh rate

Gaming: Q3 gaming chip

Durability: IP68 and IP69 ratings

Other features: Support for wireless charging

What This Means

The iQOO 15 seems designed to appeal to power users and gamers, testing the waters with its 2K high-refresh-rate display, large battery capacity and IP ratings for durability. While some users may be disappointed by slower wired charging speeds than premium flagship handsets, performance remains admirable and battery life more than adequate for everyday use.
