Canva Down Today: Canva, a browser-based graphic design platform, is currently experiencing downtime as users are reporting problems in uploading images on the platform, which is disrupting business workflows and company operations. The downtime detection website Down Detector has reported that the problems started escalating at 1:48 PM on Thursday.

Users are currently seeing a message that says "unable to upload 'image.png'" or "image not found". On the downtime detection website Downdetector at the time of writing this article, there were 122 reports compared to its baseline of , and it was rising. 

According to Downdetector, most problems were reported on the website, with 76% of issues reported.

While on the other side on the app, the issues reported were 23 per cent, with login having 1 per cent reports.

Canva has confirmed the problem on its own status page and started its investigation towards resolving the issue. According to the live incident blog posted by the company, it has gone through several rounds of investigations regarding the issue and fixes over the period of time.

How Canva Responded To The Outage

Canva kept users informed throughout the disruption by regularly updating its official status page as its engineering team worked to restore normal service.

10:47 AEST: The company said it had identified the root cause of the issue and started deploying a fix.

11:54 AEST: Canva confirmed that the fix had been implemented and that the team was monitoring the platform to ensure services remained stable.

12:21 AEST: The issue appeared to persist, prompting the company to identify another related problem and roll out an additional fix.

14:19 AEST: After deploying the second fix, Canva once again entered the monitoring phase to check whether the platform was performing as expected.

16:44 AEST: Canva officially declared the incident resolved, indicating that services had returned to normal.

This means that it was not a sure-shot single fix for Canva, and the team had to keep at it till the situation stabilised. Canva also said that users accessing from Australia and New Zealand might still face slower loading times after the company has resolved the main issue at hand.

Why Are You Not Able To Upload Images?

These outages are usually linked to backend servers, bugs or glitches in the content delivery system, or it could just be a small hitch during routine updates, which might affect features like image uploading, etc. Although Canva has not given a detailed breakdown of what happened, which is a common practice, it has just addressed the main issue as fixed.
