Itel Mobile India is planning to launch solely 5G-enabled handsets under Rs 10,000 in the nation. The market already lacks certain good phones with 5G connectivity that are also affordable. The itel P55 5G will shortly make its appearance in the Indian market, capturing the entry-level segment, says the report.
The upcoming smartphone will join the list of P40+ and the A60 phones, which are also budget phones and are available at a price range of Rs 8,099 and Rs 6,299 respectively. While the P40+ gets a 90 Hz and a 13 MP primary shooter with a segment-leading 7,000 mAh battery and 18W fast charging support.
On the other hand, the A60s gets an HD+ display along with 4G RAM and an 8 MP primary shooter, and it comes paired with a 5,000mAh and 10W fast charging support. In terms of memory, the 128 GB storage and additional 4 GB virtual RAM.
In response to the sudden need for 5G, the brand has developed an effective and potent smartphone that is yet affordable for India. The upcoming smartphone not only promises to push limits but also has the potential to increase Itel's leadership in the sub-Rs 10,000 smartphone market.
According to Counterpoint Research, itel has already got millions of customers in the sub-Rs 8,000 segments, with the highest percentage of recurring customers among first-time customers. With the newest features and functionalities available at affordable prices, they are now prepared to dominate the market for beginning smartphones like never before.
Meanwhile, other companies, including Poco and Lava, have been said to be working on affordable 5G phones, however, nothing concrete has been announced at the time of writing the article.
