Reliance Jio launched a new Rs 77 prepaid voucher for its users in India. This is different from the usual short-term data packs of the company, as this is intended for entertainment purposes, owing to its bundled OTT advantage.
What the Rs 77 Plan Offers
The Rs 77 pack offers 3GB of data, which is usable for 5 days. Though the data limit is small, actually the main appeal of this pack lies in its bundled SonyLIV subscription, which remains effective for 30 days. They can view SonyLIV content on the JioTV app, accessible on both Android and iOS devices, providing them with a simple means to watch premium TV shows and movies on the move.

This makes the Rs 77 plan a value proposition for prepaid users who wish to have OTT access without additionally paying for an app subscription.
Other Short-Term Data Offers From Jio
For customers who give data priority over OTT benefits, Jio provides a few other vouchers:
Rs 39 pack – Includes 3GB per day data for 3 days.
Rs 49 pack – Provides 25GB data in one day.
Rs 29 pack – Offers 2GB data with 2 days validity.
Rs 11 pack – The most affordable option, offering 25GB of unlimited data for 1 hour.
These packs are data-centric and don't offer service validity or entertainment perks.

A Move Toward Entertainment Bundles
By packaging SonyLIV with its Rs 77 voucher, Jio seems to be testing out the scenario where some plans are entertainment-focused and not merely data-focused. It provides an easy, affordable means of accessing premium OTT media while still providing them with a small data increase for short-term consumption.
