Made On YouTube Event: Google-owned YouTube has announced a suite of updates for emerging content creators to enhance creativity and expand monetising opportunities. Here’s everything you announced at the Made on YouTube Event 2024.
1. Google DeepMind’s VEO To Garnish YouTube Shorts
YouTube has announced that the latest Google’s most capable model for generating video, is Veo to the YouTube Shorts. The creators will be able to generate AI-driven video backgrounds along with 6-second standalone clips in order to enhance the content production. Do note that all the content will be watermarked using SynthID for clear communication to the viewers.
2. Get Inspiration Tab For Idea Generation:
YouTube has announced a makeover for the Inspiration Tab in YouTube Studio which will help the creators in finding new video ideas, titles, outlines and much more. Not only that, a new shortcut for easy access will be coming next week. It will allow the creators to access the Inspiration Tab directly from the top comments, other videos, or their own content.
3. Communities, Hype, Dubbing Tool And New Comments Tab:
YouTube has also announced a slew of new features for enhanced audience engagement and community building.
Community Feature: A central hub on the creator's channel will allow fans to share art, connect and discuss videos. The feature will be rolled out in 2025.
Hype for Emerging Creators: A new feature called Hype will allow fans to boost the rising stars by voting them on videos. The most hyped videos will be appearing on the leaderboard.
Automatic Dubbing Tool: YouTube is also expanding its dubbing tool and will allow the creators to generate translated audio tracks for their videos in different languages.
New Comments Tab: YouTube Studio’s Comments tab will be now a Community hub offering AI-enhanced reply suggestions and spotlight tools for the creators.
4. Monetisation And Business Growth:
YouTube has announced new digital gifts, expanded shopping expansion and more.
New Digital Gifts Powered by Jewels: The vertical livestreams will feature interactive digital gifts providing creators with a new way to engage the audience while monetising in real-time.
YouTube Shopping Expansion: The much-awaited Shopping affiliate program is being rolled out to new countries including Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
