Microsoft, which has been making a lot of changes in its video conferencing platform Teams to take on Google Meet, Zoom and other competitors, has finally announced AI-powered make-up filters for users.

Microsoft has introduced the Maybelline Beauty app within Microsoft Teams in response to the changing requirements of remote employees and a rising need for greater self-expression. With the use of artificial intelligence (AI), this app enables users to quickly and simply modify their unique style while taking part in Teams sessions.

The Maybelline Beauty app offers a variety of digital makeup colours and blur effects, allowing users to experiment with 12 distinct virtual makeup looks. With this, the users in the meeting can decide their look which goes with the agenda of the meeting, whether it is a professional meeting or a casual video call.

Microsoft Teams AI Filters Rollout?

The Maybelline app, which was initially accessible in preview mode, is expected to be distributed globally on a rolling basis to Microsoft Teams corporate users beginning today. Microsoft's unique innovation seeks to create a dynamic and personalised virtual meeting experience for professionals all around the world.

Meanwhile, the animated background feature for Teams is now accessible to everyone on the public preview channel, which Microsoft revealed last month. Users can replace an existing background in Teams meetings with an animated animation to create a more realistic virtual environment.

It provides a range of alternatives to enhance meeting encounters with originality and customization depending on customer preferences. To access this functionality, users must be a part of the Teams Public Preview and be using the Windows or macOS Teams client.

Animated Background Feature Requirements:

Low-end devices cannot use animated backgrounds since they need a CPU with four logical processors and at least 8 GB of RAM. Additionally, the feature only supports pre-defined backgrounds from Microsoft, and applying video filters may cause background animation to lag if the user's computer is under a lot of demand.
