Motorola is gearing up to launch the Moto G06 Power in India, and the company has already started teasing it on social media. The post on X carried the tagline “The Future Arrives in Full Power,” which pretty much confirms what’s coming next—a phone built around endurance.

A Powerful Comeback in the Budget Segment

Expected to debut as an entry-level smartphone, the Moto G06 Power could become one of Motorola’s biggest battery-centric phones in India. The device already launched in Europe last month, and if the Indian version follows the same specs, users can expect identical performance with a price tweak for the local market.

In Europe, the Moto G06 Power comes in Pantone Laurel Oak and Pantone Tapestry colour options and starts at €129.99 (roughly Rs 13,400). In India, Motorola might position it under Rs 12,000, considering its past pricing strategy for budget models.

Display and Design

The Moto G06 Power comes with a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen (1640 × 720 pixels) that features a 120 Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and game playing. It also boasts up to 600 nits peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio—all good specs for a phone of this tier.

Performance and Storage

It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chip accompanied by a maximum of 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The storage capacity is up to 256GB, and this can be expanded a further 1TB via a microSD card, which is useful for users who watch a lot of content and play games.

Camera Setup

The phone carries a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera sensor at the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. While it’s not a dual or triple setup, Motorola is leaning on sensor quality rather than numbers to deliver better photos.

Battery and Features

Despite the European model packing a 5200mAh battery, teasers hint that the Indian variant could feature an even bigger 7000mAh cell. The phone supports 10W fast charging and runs Android 15 out of the box.

Other highlights include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an IP64-rated design for splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and essential connectivity features like Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C.

If Motorola nails the pricing, the Moto G06 Power could be the budget powerhouse to beat in 2025.
