The New Aadhar App
This new app claims to make Aadhaar management simple, easier, and much more pragmatic for daily use. The regulator UIDAI has highlighted that people are still giving out photocopies of their Aadhaar cards, sometimes even unmasked, for check-ins and hotel rooms, office verification, and more, and risk losing their personal data on public platforms. All these issues get addressed with the latest Aadhaar app that allows for offline verification without the need to show your biometric data or mobile number.
Apart from safety, this app also amps up on utility services and gives users the chance to update mobile numbers and addresses and share information selectively digitally.

How to download?
-Download the official Aadhaar app from the Google Play Store on Android or the Apple App Store on iOS.
-Select your preferred language and complete the setup.
-Log in to access digital Aadhaar services, verification, and updates.
How to Verify Offline
Once the setup part has been done away with, the app will let you verify your Aadhaar, and the best part is you don't even need to have an internet connection for its completion. Offline verification is designed to protect your privacy by sharing only what’s needed. You can choose between two options.
With Share ID, you can generate a password-protected Aadhaar file and decide which details you want to share as per your convenience, such as your name or age, to share.
The second option uses QR code scanning, where you simply scan a code shown by the verifying entity for quick confirmation, without handing over physical documents.
Mobile Phone Number and Address Change
The Aadhaar app also simplifies updates to personal details. If you want to change your mobile number or address, just log in using Aadhaar-based authentication and head to the Update Aadhaar details section on the home screen. Choose what you want to update, enter the new information, and submit it for verification. After completing authentication and paying a small fee, the request is processed and the updated details are reflected in your Aadhaar records.

Additional Features
Apart from providing ease in the above-mentioned services, the app comes with other useful tools as well. These include the feature to create up to five Aadhar profiles; this feature is specifically fruitful for families, adding details of dependents like children.

Another feature is the Aadhar contact card that lets you share contact details if required without the risk of exposing your complete identity.

Rules for Institutions for Using Offline Aadhar
The regulator has also given new rules for organizations that wish to use Aadhaar for offline verification, and they need to register with the government if they want to move ahead. This is to ensure misuse of data does not take place and only authorized entities get it, like hotels, banks, etc.
