Oppo Find X9 Gets A Bold New Velvet Red Variant In India

Oppo has wasted no time expanding their flagship lineup. A week after introducing India to their Find X9 and Find X9 Pro devices, Oppo has responded directly to consumer feedback with Velvet Red as an optional finish option on their flagship model, Velvet Red being especially well received and highly requested by Indian consumers.

A new colour, same flagship hardware

The Velvet Red edition sticks to the same internals as the Titanium Grey and Space Black models already on sale. Oppo isn’t changing anything under the hood — only the aesthetic. The new variant comes in a single configuration:

Oppo will begin offering sales starting December 8 across its official website, Flipkart and retail stores.

Peter Dohyung Lee, Oppo’s Head of Product Strategy, says the Find X9 series has seen more than 3× growth compared to the previous generation in its first week. The Velvet Red finish, he adds, is meant for users who want a “bold, confident and instantly recognisable” look — essentially giving people one more way to make their device feel personal.

Find X9 Pro stays unchanged

Meanwhile, the Find X9 Pro continues in two colours — Silk White and Titanium Charcoal — with a single:
