JUST ahead of the start of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio has unveiled cricket plans specially curated to cater for cricket fever. While the first IPL match will go live on March 31, the recharge plans are already available for purchase via Jio's official channels. The three new prepaid data packs announced include Rs. 219, Rs. 399 and Rs. 999, with 3GB/day data on each plan.
Let's dissect the prepaid plans one by one -
- Rs. 219 plan comes with a validity of 14 days and a free voucher worth Rs. 25 that gives free 2GB data.
- Rs. 399 plan comes with a validity of 28 days and a bundled voucher worth Rs. 61, which can be traded for 6GB of extra data.
- Rs. 999 plan comes with a validity of 84 days and a voucher worth Rs. 241 that offers 40GB of additional data.
The plans come with other benefits like JioTV, JioCinema, JioSecurity and JioCloud. Further, the telecom major announced data add-on offers across three heads.
- The first Rs. 222 add-on comes with 50GB of data and a validity sams as the base plan.
- Secondly, Rs. 444 add-on packs 100GB of data with a validity of 60 days.
- Lastly, the Rs. 667 plan offers 150GB of data with a validity of 90 days.
These plans can be purchased over and above the existing base plans listed in the article. Customers can recharge their numbers via the MyJio application, Jio's official website or from an authorised retailer.
Jio has designed these plans for cricket devotees across India. "With truly unlimited True-5G data that comes with all the Cricket Plans, Jio users can watch live matches through multiple camera angles in 4K clarity across screens. The plans are designed keeping in mind the immersive experience which cricket lovers deserve," the press release stated. "Many more such interesting announcements will follow in the next few days related to cricket and the immersive experiences that Jio has lined up for its users," a Jio representative said, according to ANI.
