Samsung Galaxy S25 series launch is still far away but the details about Samsung's upcoming flagship are floating online. According to the reports, Samsung will drop the ‘Plus’ variant from the Galaxy S25 series. This comes after no details about the Galaxy S25 Plus variant were found on the IMEI database.

As per Android Headlines, the IMEI register does not include any information regarding the Galaxy S25 Plus. Remarkably, the Galaxy S25 Ultra model numbers SM-S938B, SM-S938U, SM-S938N, and SM-S9380 were discovered in the registration, whereas the Galaxy S25 was listed with SM-S931B/DS. Keep in mind that the last initials emphasise the launch location; the letters "B," "U," and "N" in that string stand for "Global," "USA," and "South Korea," respectively.

However, there are still uncertainties about the mixup in data or it could be true that Samsung is planning to drop the Plus variant due to less demand in the market.

According to Counterpoint Research, the Galaxy S20 Plus sold 3.5 million units, which was lower than the S10+ figures. The Galaxy S23 sold 8.91 million devices, the S23+ 4.52 million, and the S23 Ultra 11.63 million. The statistics suggest a diminishing Plus variation.

However, the Galaxy S24 Plus outperformed the Galaxy S23 Plus by more than 52% year on year (YoY). Even with the Galaxy S24 Plus's improved sales numbers, it remains underperforming in the overall series. The Galaxy S24 sold 27 per cent, the Galaxy S24 Plus 21 per cent, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra 52 per cent.
