Samsung One UI 8.5: The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is right around the corner. And ahead of the launch, Samsung has started rolling out the Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta 4. This update brings several bug fixes and improvements. This new One UI 8.5 is expected to make a debut with the Galaxy S26 series, anticipated to be unveiled on the 25th of February. For now, the latest beta update is currently rolling out for the limited Samsung Galaxy S25-series users in South Korea. And in this article, we will discuss the update changelogs and what we know. Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta 4 Now Available in Korea

This One UI 8.5 Beta 4 is currently available for the Samsung Galaxy S25, Samsung Galaxy S25+, and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in South Korea.

The size of the One UI 8.5 update is approximately 1.5GB and carries a firmware version ending in ZZAL. While the beta was earlier rumoured to arrive in mid-January, it appears to have been delayed before finally rolling out.

One UI 8.5 Beta 4 Key Fixes

The new One UI 8.5 Beta update 4 is mainly addressing the stability and call-related issues. And as per the changelogs, Samsung has resolved some issues:

- Calls automatically switching to speakerphone

- Errors when checking call history in the Phone app

- One-sided audio during Bluetooth headset calls

- Phone number being pasted into the keypad when tapping the call log icon

- AI Select menu not closing automatically after selecting Copy

This update is aimed at improvements and enhancements of overall call reliability and user experience before the stable release.

How to Download the Update

If you have enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta programme, you can check for the update by heading to the Settings and navigating as follows:

Settings > Software update > Download and install

Note: It is still in development and may possibly have some bugs; the stable version of One UI 8.5 is expected to launch officially alongside the Galaxy S26 series later this month.

With Beta 4 now live, Samsung appears to be fine-tuning One UI 8.5 ahead of its expected debut with the Galaxy S26 lineup.
