Samsung appears to be preparing for its next big launch event—Galaxy Unpacked, expected to take place in mid-July in New York City. The tech giant is likely to unveil its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, along with the next-generation Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic.
According to recent reports, Samsung could host the Unpacked event around July 13, supported by clues from upcoming Samsung Health-sponsored running events in New York. As reported by SamMobile, Samsung has partnered with NYCRuns and local running clubs such as Midnight Runners New York and Almost Friday Run Club to set up rest stations and promote fitness-related features of its wearables.

This event could mark the second time since the pandemic that Samsung returns to New York for a product launch. The company previously hosted a virtual launch for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 in 2022, and an in-person launch for the Galaxy Note 10 series in 2019.
While Samsung has yet to officially confirm the date or details of the event, it has hinted at delivering a new “Galaxy Ultra” experience, specifically for its book-style foldable. If the leaks and clues are accurate, official invitations could be sent out in the coming weeks.
As for what to expect under the hood, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could ship with Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset in the Korean market, while the global variants of both the Flip 7 and Fold 7 are rumored to feature Qualcomm’s powerful new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 ‘Elite’ chip. Battery life is also expected to get a slight boost, with the Flip 7 reportedly housing a 4,300mAh battery, and the Fold 7 coming in with a 4,400mAh unit.
In addition to the foldables and wearables, Samsung could also showcase other devices, including the Galaxy Tab S11, which was recently spotted on Geekbench revealing potential SoC details, and possibly new wireless earbuds, seen referenced in the Galaxy Buds Controller app.
