New Year's Eve: Today is December 31, 2023, and the New Year is a few hours away. This date has a special significance due to its unique numerical order. While India follows the date order in date/month/year format, countries such as the US follow the month/date/year chronology while mentioning a date. With the US order in mind, if a user writes today's date, the output is 12/31/23 or 123123 without the slash.

According to Google India's post on X (formerly Twitter), this is a once-in-a-century moment. The last time this happened was 100 years ago in 1923. Next time, the date sequence will be repeated on the last day of December in the year 2123. Google mimicked a search for '123123 date' in a post and shared the response on X.
