Vivo is ready to introduce its latest V series phone, the Vivo V60e 5G, in India this month. Although no date has been announced by the company, teasers have already caught the design, colour scheme, and camera aspects in the spotlight, generating early buzz. Besides official leaks, there have been multiple online leaks that have provided fans with a sneak peek at what they can expect. To help you decide if it's worth upgrading or not, let's do a side-by-side comparison of its predecessor, the Vivo V50e 5G.

Design and Display

The V60e 5G is in the form of the pricier Vivo V60 with a pill-shaped camera and glossy back panel, but on a plastic chassis. The V50e 5G, meanwhile, features a more premium-looking pill-shaped camera module setup akin to the pricier V50 series. Both are IP68 and IP69 rated, which grants dust and water resistance.

At the front of screens, the V60e 5G would come equipped with a 6.77-inch OLED screen with a 120 Hz screen refresh and up to 1800 nits peak brightness. The V50e 5G comes with an even similar 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with the same 120 Hz screen refresh but lower peak brightness at 1300 nits, meaning the V60e is brighter in outdoor conditions.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, both smartphones should be driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor with 8GB of RAM and a maximum storage capacity of 256GB. The dramatic change is in the battery department: the V60e 5G should feature a 6500 mAh battery, a whopping jump from the V50e 5G's 5600 mAh. Both phones also feature 90W wired fast charging, so filling the battery in a hurry remains a walk in the park.

Camera Features

The camera setup is where the V60e 5G makes the biggest leap. It is spec'd with a 200MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, compared to the V50e 5G's 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide cameras. Selfie cameras are the same on both phones at 50MP.

Price in India

The Vivo V60e 5G will come at around Rs 28,749 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The V50e 5G was introduced at Rs 26,999 in the same storage variant, so the new variant costs a bit more.
