Vivo is all set to expand its Y-series lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo Y400 5G on August 4, 2025. Positioned as the more affordable sibling of the previously released Vivo Y400 Pro, this new mid-range smartphone is expected to arrive under ₹25,000. Although Vivo has teased the device on its official India site, full details have surfaced through leaks just ahead of launch.

Eye-Catching Colours and Premium Finish

According to leaks, the Vivo Y400 5G will be available in two colour options: Glam White and Olive Green. The Glam White variant is said to feature a textured rear panel, drawing design cues from the Y400 Pro. With a modern and minimal look, the phone aims to stand out in a crowded segment.

AMOLED Display, Snapdragon Chip, and Massive Battery

The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits—ideal for outdoor use.

Powering the device could be the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Vivo is also likely to ship the Y400 5G with a hefty 6,000 mAh battery, which may support blazing-fast 90 W charging—a major highlight at this price point.

Camera Setup and Durability

Photography enthusiasts may get a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary lens. On the front, a 32MP camera is equipped to handle selfies and video calls.

Another standout feature could be its IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, which are rare in this segment. If true, the Y400 5G may become one of the most durable phones under ₹25,000.
