Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp gets regular limelight for developing new features. Amid a range of testing options, the company is now developing a feature that will allow users to pin more than three chats in the 'Chats' window. According to WABetaInfo, the option is "under development" in the latest Android beta version. However, it is not rolling out to testers yet.

According to the report, the feature was spotted in the "2.24.6.13" version and will be available in a future update. Beta testers can keep their app build updated from the Google Play Store to check out the feature whenever it is available. Based on the screengrab shared in the report, users may be able to pin five chats at the top.

Plus, the company may allow pinning more than five chats, the WhatsApp tracker speculated. This will help aid the chat experience of people who converse regularly with a larger audience or engage with multiple group chats. It will allow users to access chats from more contacts without allowing users to choose the top three ones.

With the upcoming feature, WhatsApp accounts can add more people to the list and improve the chat experience. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is rolling out an option to manage and view communities from the business version of the app. It is available in the 'iOS 24.5.10.74' beta version. Moreover, the company is also testing a feature to better indicate that the chats are end-to-end encrypted.

Available in the Android beta "2.24.6.11" version, the new caption to indicate "end-to-end encrypted" is displayed below the contact and group names within a chat conversation. This encryption protocol message disappears a few seconds later to let users keep track of last-seen info.
