Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: In the wake of the visit of Miss World contestants to Dr. BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat and a Carnival event at Upper Tank Bund on Sunday, the Hyderabad traffic police have issued a travel advisory. There will be traffic diversions at the Ambedkar Statue for the vehicles coming from the Secretariat junction and going towards the Upper Tank Bund between 3 pm and 10 pm on Sunday.
The Hyderabad traffic police, through its X post, informed that roads near three key locations, Ambedkar statue, Sailing Club and DBR, will be closed between 3 pm to 10 pm.
Traffic Alert At Ambedkar Statue
The general traffic coming from the Secretariat junction, at Ambedkar Statue, will not be allowed towards Upper Tank Bund and will be diverted towards Liberty. On the other hand, traffic coming from Liberty towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted towards the Telugu Thalli flyover.
Advisory For Vehicles Schedules To Cross Sailing Club
Diversion From DBR Mills
Vehicles en route from DBR Mills towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted at DBR Mills to take the route towards Goshala and then Kavadiguda.
Traffic Congestion Expected At Iqbal Minar And 5 Other Junctions
The following junctions will be congested due to traffic diversions, and the commuters are advised to avoid these routes between 3 pm to 10 pm on Sunday.

3. DBR Mills
4. Secretariat Junction
5. Iqbal Minar
6. VV Statue Junction
7. Liberty
8. Indira Gandhi Rotary

The Hyderabad police have requested the citizens to avoid congested routes and take alternate routes. “All citizens are requested to take note of the above diversions and traffic congestion points and take alternate routes to reach their destination. The Traffic diversions/ closures of roads will be removed/opened after the conclusion of the programme,” the traffic police wrote in an X post.
