Hyderabad Dry Days: In preparation for the upcoming Bonalu festivities, Hyderabad will witness a closure of all wine shops, bars and restaurants within the limits of the S.R. Nagar police station from July 9, 6 am to July 11, 6 am. This decision has been taken by the city police commissioner to ensure overall public peace and tranquillity during the cultural event.

According to the Siasat.com report, the affected establishments include Sathish Wines located on Balkampet Temple Main Road, Akshaya Bar Restaurant and Sarovar Bar and Restaurant. This "dry day" arrangement is a common practice in India to maintain law and order during significant religious or cultural celebrations.

Hyderabad Weather News Today

While the city gears up for the Bonalu festivities, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad has also issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall expected on July 8 and 9. According to the weather forecast, several districts of Telangana, including Adilabad, Nirmal, Kumaram Bheem, Mancherial and Hyderabad, are likely to experience downpours during this period. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 29 degrees Celsius today adn the minimum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees celsius.

IMD Predicts Heavy Rain In Telangana

The IMD has predicted that the state will witness heavy rains on both Monday and Tuesday, with the possibility of exceeding the current Southwest Monsoon season's rainfall. On Saturday, Adilabad recorded the highest rainfall in the state, measuring 123 mm, while Shaikpet in Hyderabad saw the city's highest rainfall at 28.8 mm.
