Certain areas in Hyderabad are likely to face water shortages due to maintenance work on the 132 KV Kandi-Peddapur feeder, which is scheduled for Thursday, February 22 as announced by the Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSPDCL).
Hyderabad's access to drinking water is made possible in large part by the Singuru project's Kandi-Peddapur feeder. Residents in the area should expect partial water supply interruptions as part of the maintenance initiative, with complete disruptions expected in certain areas.
According to a report by Siasat Daily, the complete disruption will affect the following areas: Sheikpet reserve, Borabanda reserve, Lingampa reserve, on-line supply, and Khanapur Gravity's 1200 mm main line supply.
Water supply disruptions to some extent are anticipated in reservist areas, Banjara Hills, and Bhoja Gutta.
During the maintenance period, residents are advised to plan appropriately and make any necessary arrangements.
In the previous month, there were water supply outages in many areas of the city. On January 3, there was a 24-hour disruption, and on January 20, there was another disruption for the same amount of time.
Beginning at 6 AM on January 3, there was a 24-hour interruption in the city's supply of drinking water to some areas. This disruption resulted from junction work on the pipeline in Santosh Nagar, which is part of the Phase 1 Krishna Drinking Water Supply project.
Afzalgunj, Narayanguda, Adikmet, Shivam Road, Nallakunta, Chilukalguda, Dilsukhnagar, Saidabad, Chanchalguda, Yakuthpura, Madannapet, Riyasat Nagar, Aliabad, Boggula Kunta, and neighbouring areas were among the areas impacted by this disruption.
