A 25-year-old woman was found dead by suicide at her rented home in Bengaluru, with her body discovered in a decomposed state. She was found hanging in a room on the third floor of a house in Gayatri Nagar, North Bengaluru, under Subramanyanagar Police Station limits. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

According to the NDTV report, police confirmed it as a case of suicide and said the woman had been suffering from depression. The incident came to light on Saturday after her family, unable to contact her for several days, asked the house owner to check on her. The door was found locked from the inside.

Officers suspect she may have died several days earlier, with the exact time to be determined after post-mortem examination. Her mobile phone has been sent to the forensic science laboratory for analysis. An investigation into the case is ongoing.

In a separate incident, two young brothers, Jaganadhan S (8) and Sanjay S (6), drowned in a BBMP-maintained lake in Sir M Vishweshwaraiah Layout, Bengaluru, on Thursday evening. The siblings, students of a private school in Ullala Upanagar, had reportedly gone to play near the lake after skipping their evening tuition class. The drowning is believed to have occurred between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm, though it came to light only around 9:00 pm.

Their father, Subramani, a mason, and mother, Mamatha, a private firm worker, began searching when the boys didn’t return home. A friend informed them the brothers had gone to the lake, where the parents later found Jaganadhan’s body. He was declared dead at Rajarajeshwari Hospital, while his younger brother’s body was recovered soon after. Police have registered a case and are investigating possible lapses in safety measures around the lake.
