Telangana Shocker: 4-Year-Old Boy, While Playing Near Lift, Dies After Getting Stuck In Its Gate In Hyderabad

In a shocking incident, a four-year-old boy died after getting trapped in a lift gate at Muktaba Apartments in Hyderabad. The police on Thursday said the deceased, the son of a watchman, was playing near the lift.

The incident took place around 10 pm when the child, identified as Narender, was playing near the elevator, said the Asif Nagar police.

"While he was inside the lift gate, someone pressed the lift button, causing the elevator to ascend with Narender stuck in the gate. The child suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead," said police.

Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident.

3 killed, one injured after elevator collapses in Delhi

Earlier in a major lift collapse incident in Delhi in January, three workers lost their lives. On January 6 in Delhi's Naraina, three sanitation workers were killed and one was injured after a lift collapsed. The incident took place at a gutkha factory. The lift-carrying workers developed a technical fault after which it crashed. Three critically injured workers were shifted to the DDU Hospital where they were declared dead. Another injured worker was admitted to the BLK Kapoor Hospital.
