Hindu Calendar December 2025: December 2025 is full of Hindu festivals, vrats (Spiritual Fasts), and important events like Margashirsha Purnima and the Pausha months of the Vikrama Samvata calendar also begin in December 2025. Hindu devotees will spend the month celebrating with dedicated worship, fasting and rites, living a perfect blend of both lunar fortnightly traditional events with solar year-end festivals. The month will begin with Gita Jayanti on December 1, which falls on the first Monday. The day is celebrated in honour of the time when Lord Krishna spoke to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.
December 1st also marks the spiritual observance of Mokshada and Guruvayurda Ekadashi. Then, on Margashirsha Shukla Purnima is on December 4th (Thursday), Dattatreya Jayanti, Annapurna Jayanti, Bhairavi Jayanti, and Karthigai Deepam, a festival of lights in Tamil Nadu in honour of Shiva, everything is on December 4th. Then the month of Pausha begins on December 5th.

Mid-month begins with Saphala Ekadashi is observed on December 15 (Monday, Pausha Krishna Ekadashi), which is a good day to pray to Lord Krishna. On December 18 and 19, the significant observances like Masik Shivaratri and Pausha Amavasya are followed immediately after the Kalashtami and Masik Krishna Janmashtami. On December 21, the day is all about Chandra Darshana. Solstice, which is the shortest day of the year, also falls on December 21.

At last, the month of December and the year 2025 are coming to an end with festivals like Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti on December 27 and Mandala Pooja (Malayalam calendar). Ekadashi is also falling on December 30-31 with Pausha Putrada, Vaikuntha (solar-based) and progeny-blessing of Pausha Shukla Ekadashi. Skanda Sashti (December 25) and Masik Durgashtami (December 28) will also fall in the last week of December.
