Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata’s Early Life and Education
Opal was born in Phuket on September 20, 2003, and grew up in a family with strong ties to the hospitality sector. After completing her primary and lower secondary education at Kajonkietsuksa School, she went on to Triam Udom Suksa School in Bangkok, where she majored in Chinese as part of the Arts program. She is currently enrolled at Thammasat University to pursue a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. Speaking Thai, English and Chinese with ease, Opal is a model with the qualities of a global citizen.

Opal’s Inspiring Pageant Journey
Opal's beauty pageant journey started with competing in Miss Universe Thailand 2022, finishing as the third runner-up, marking the beginning of her beauty pageant career. Later, when the first runner-up was overthrown, she moved up to the second runner-up spot. After being crowned Miss Universe Thailand in 2024, she represented her nation at Miss Universe 2024, placing third runner-up and winning the "Voice for Change – Silver" award. And in the year 2025, she made history by becoming the first Thai woman to win the Miss World title.

Went Through A Breast Surgery At age 16 and started "Opal For Her" Campaign

In addition to her accomplishments in school and pageants, Opal is a strong supporter of women's health. When she was just 16 years old, she had to undergo surgery to remove a benign breast lump. So, later she started the "Opal For Her" campaign to empower women through education and preventive healthcare. This initiative focuses on increasing awareness about breast health and the significance of early detection.
Miss World 2025 Victory: What was the final round question by Sonu Sood for Opal Suchata?
Opal's success as Miss World 2025 was largely due to her commitment to her work. The judges were so much impressed by her "Opal For Her" campaign, which demonstrated her dedication to changing the world for the better.
The final round questions were asked by judges and one question was asked by Indian actor Sonu Sood to Opal, and the question was, “What was this journey about the truth and responsibility to shape the story being told?” On which Opal answered, “ Thank you so much for the question and being here is the greatest opportunity for me. One thing that I learnt being here at Miss World is the responsibility of how truth is conveyed. And I think that one big thing we all can do is to be the person whom all in our lives look up to. Because I believe no matter who you are, no matter how old you are, no matter what title you hold in your life, there is always a person next to you, be it a child, adult or your parents, they look up to you in their own way. And the best way to lead those people is with our gentleness and action because our actions always speak louder than words.” This answer by Opal left a great impression on the judges there.

Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic presented the crown to Opal at the end of the pageant, which was co-hosted by former Miss World Stephanie Del Valle and Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar. The first runner-up was Ethiopia's Hasset Dereje Admassu.
