However, these sea habitats are also home to some of the most dangerous marine animals. Some are dangerous due to their venom, some due to their giant size, and some are due to their probability of being a predator. 1. Great White Shark
The great white shark is one of the most feared predators in the sea. They grow to an impressive size and possess a powerful jaw with razor-like teeth. These sharks cause numerous shark attacks on humans, even if attacks are mostly accidental. Great whites are powerful predators and approach beaches occasionally.

2. Box Jellyfish
Box jellyfish are almost invisible and drift quietly in tropical ocean waters. The tentacles hold venom that is so deadly that it kills by causing heart failure. The stings are fatal to humans and extremely painful, ranking among the worst sea animals.

3. Saltwater Crocodile
Saltwater crocodiles are the largest reptiles that prey in the ocean and surrounding areas. They also tend to grow as long as 7 meters. Saltwater crocodiles are more prone to attacking humans compared to sharks and are very deadly.

4. Blue-Ringed Octopus
Blue-Ringed Octopuses are small in size, but their poisonous characteristics make them deadly for humans. Its bite can cause paralysis and even death within minutes. Its bright blue rings serve as a warning, but it is very hard to see underwater.

5. Stonefish
Stonefish are the world's most venomous fish. They pose as rocks on the seafloor, and walking over one can inflict a venomous sting with intense pain, tissue damage, and death if not treated promptly.

6. Tiger Shark

10. Orca (Killer Whale)
Orcas are the biggest predators in the ocean and are known to be extremely powerful. They mostly prey on sharks, seals, and even whales. Wild orcas hardly attack humans; however, their attacking behaviours have always made headlines with brutal injuries and fatalities. Additionally, these whales are clever predators with tight social relationships.
