Telugu Calendar May 2025: The Telugu calendar is a traditional lunisolar calendar followed by Telugu-speaking people from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Yanam. It is based on the Panchanga (schedule), combining lunar cycles (tithis), solar cycles, and nakshatras (constellations) to indicate the exact date of religious events and agricultural practices. For example, as per the Telugu calendar, the months of Vaishakha and Jyeshta happen in April-May and May-June, respectively. Additionally, important Hindu festivals like Akshaya Tritiya and Ganga Dussehra also occur in April and May. The calendar also showcases auspicious timings (muhurta) and fasting days.
