The United States tops the list of countries with most Olympics with a whopping total of 3,105 medals, out of which 1,275 are gold medals till 2024. America has won medals in almost all categories, from athletics and swimming to gymnastics and others.
Soviet Union/Russia
Russia and its antecedent, the Soviet Union, have won 1,556 medals, of which 590 were in the gold category. Despite the recent disqualifications of Russian athletes over geopolitical concerns, their past leadership in sports like gymnastics and weightlifting is truly inspiring.
Germany
Over time, Germany has won a total of 1,346 medals, out of which 428 are gold, including the former East and West Germany division era. The nation leads in sports such as cycling, rowing, and winter sports.
Great Britain
