Top 10 Indian States With Longest Highway: India’s highways are essential for the country as they carry millions of vehicles each day and connect cities with rural areas. Over the years, the Indian government has invested a lot in expanding and improving the highway system. This work aims to enhance connectivity, increase trade, and make travel more comfortable. Recently, significant updates in infrastructure have changed how goods and people travel between states. These updates include finishing expressway projects, adding bypasses, and expanding current highways. This progress has not only reduced travel times but also boosted tourism and economic activities.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has set ambitious goals, and projects like Bharatmala Pariyojana are making quick progress. While all states benefit from this growth, some have excelled in creating extensive highway networks that serve as examples of connectivity. These states lead the way with thousands of kilometres of well-constructed roads, ensuring smooth travel for both local commuters and long-distance travellers.
