Most Disliked YouTube Videos: Why These Videos Were Disliked?
1. YouTube Rewind 2018: Everyone Controls Rewind
The goal of this video was to celebrate the biggest trends and creators of 2018, but it backfired miserably. Many people thought it was out of touch since it disregarded some well-known YouTubers and trends. It became the most hated video in YouTube history with more than 20 million or 200 Lakh dislikes due to the overwhelming negative reaction caused by the scripted feel and forced cheerfulness.
2. Baby Shark Dance
Due to its repetitious lyrics and catchy (but obnoxious) rhythm, this Baby Shark Dance, a children's song became a worldwide success but also annoyed a lot of viewers as well. The large number of dislikes was from parents, who grew tired of hearing it nonstop. Almost 15 million or 150 Lakh people disliked this song video.
3. Sadak 2 Trailer
The Bollywood sequel film Sadak 2's trailer was heavily criticised for being linked to nepotism in the Indian film industry. Fans protested by boycotting the film after star Sushant Singh Rajput passed away, resulting in millions of dislikes. Sanjay Dutt starrer this film's trailer got more than 13 million (130 Lakhs) dislikes which is approximately 130 Lakhs.
4. Baby – Justin Bieber
Due to its repetitious lyrics and high-pitched vocals, Justin Bieber's debut song became an online meme. Even though the song was well-liked by fans, Bieber's early critics flooded it with negative reviews, turning it into one of the most hated videos on YouTube with more than 120 lakh dislikes.
5. Johny Johny Yes Papa
Although this children's nursery rhyme ‘Johny Johny Yes Papa’ video became viral, many adults thought it was creepy and badly animated. Widespread criticism resulted from the bizarre narrative and robotic animation style. This video has almost 12 million dislikes to date.
6. YouTube Rewind 2019: For the Record
After the catastrophic 2018 version, the 2019 edition of YouTube Rewind was an attempt to make things better. But rather than honouring the platform's community, it was condemned for being uncreative and merely providing data. Another wave of disapproval resulted from its inability to hold viewers' attention. This video also got approx 10 million dislikes.
7. Bath Song
Again, the repetitive nature of another children's video song led to almost 9 million or you can say 90 lakh people disliking it. Although children adore it, a large number of parents and viewers found it bothersome, which eventually resulted in a huge amount of dislikes.
8. Learning Colours – Colorful Eggs on a Farm
This child education video attracted attention due to its strange animation and unusual noises. A lot of viewers thought it was unpleasant, which made them wonder what it was trying to do. As a result, 8.9 million (89 Lakh) people disliked it.
9. Lakdi Ki Kathi Remake
This was a recreation video of a well-known Indian children's song Lakdi Ki Kathi and was criticized for its bad execution and low-quality animation. Many people thought the original version was better and said this remake lacked the classic's charm, leading it to get 7.2 Million which means 72 lakh dislikes.
10. Wheels on the Bus
Another over-played nursery rhyme that annoyed both parents and casual watchers. It was one of the most unpopular videos on YouTube due to its repetitious style and basic animation with 6.9 million or 69 lakh dislikes.
