Top Indian Cricketers Who Got Divorced:  Cricketers earn fame and admiration for their on-field performances but are often in the news for their private life back in India. Over the years, many cricketers have had rough patches in their marriages, resulting in divorces. From Shikhar Dhawan's separation from Aesha Mukherjee to Mohammed Shami's highly publicized legal battles, some Indian cricketers earned fame in their careers but faced challenges and brittleness in their personal lives.

Recently, rumours regarding Yuzvendra Chahal's marriage with Dhanashree Verma falling apart have surfaced. Although, the couple has not confirmed any issues they both have unfollowed each other on Instagram and even deleted their pictures together from social media.

Rumours about Yuzvendra and Dhanshree had not yet subsided when Virendra Sehwag's divorce from his wife Aarti Ahlawat began to surface. After 20 years of marriage, cricket legend Virender Sehwag and his wife, Aarti Ahlawat, may be getting a divorce. According to reports, the pair has been living apart and has even unfollowed one another on social media. Although neither has verified the rumour, it has raised awareness of Sehwag's accomplishments in cricket as well as his financial success.

Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya, an all-rounder cricketer and his wife Natasa Stankovic announced their separation in July 2024 which caused a huge ruckus on social media. Hardik and Natasa started a romantic relationship in early 2020. They had a secret wedding during the COVID-19 lockdown and welcomed their first child son Agastya in the same year on 30 July. Later, the couple also had a lavish wedding in Rajasthan on 14 February 2023. Unfortunately, their union was hit by challenges and separated in 2024.

Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan is known as one of India's greatest opening batsmen divorced his wife Aesha Mukherjee after eight years of marriage. Shikhar and Aesha got married in year 2012 but got separated in 2021. The court granted Shikhar divorce on the grounds of mental cruelty by his wife. The couple decided to separate due to cultural differences and personal disagreements. They have a son Zoravar, and he co-parents him with his wife.

Dinesh Karthik

Talented wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik was married to his childhood friend Nikita Vanjara in the year 2007. However, the marriage ended only after 5 years as Nikita's relationship with fellow cricketer Murali Vijay became public. The cricketer later found love and is now happily married to squash player Dipika Pallikal on 18 August 2015 and welcomed twin boys Kabir and Zian on 18 October 2021.

Vinod Kambli

Vinod Kambli, a flamboyant left-handed batsman of the 1990s, divorced his first wife, Noella Lewis. Their marriage faced challenges as a result of personal differences. Kambli later married fashion model Andrea Hewitt, and they have a son together. However, in 2023 Andrea filed a police complaint for domestic violence by Kambli. Recently, Kambli was hospitalized due to illness but his health is now normal.

Mohammad Azharuddin

Mohammad Azharuddin, former captain of India and a wristy Batsman married Naureen in 1987. Later Naureen gave birth to two sons Mohammad Asaduddin and Mohammad Ayazuddin. In 1996, after twelve years of marriage, Azharuddin divorced Naureen and married film actress Sangeeta Bijlani but that relationship too ended in year 2010, after Sangeeta filed for divorce, based on Azhar's rumoured affairs with several women.

Fast bowler Mohammad Shami has been in the news for public controversies that arose during his divorce from his wife, Hasin Jahan. Shami and Hasin Jahan separated in 2018, during which Jahan made accusations of domestic violence and infidelity against him. The couple had married in 2014 and had a daughter named Aaira.

Ravi Shastri

Ravi Shastri, a former Indian cricketer and head coach divorced his wife Ritu Singh after 22 years of marriage in 2012. Ravi Shastri and Ritu got married in 1990 and had a daughter Alekha Shastri in 2008. The reason for their divorce is still not known.

Manoj Prabhakar
