MOST people have probably heard of winning the lottery, but have you ever considered it or heard of the greatest lottery ever? You did indeed read that correctly. A Californian man recently revealed in a viral post that he had spent $25.5 million on a lavish property in the Hollywood Hills after winning the largest lottery jackpot in history, totaling $2.04 billion (approximately Rs 16,590 crore).
The top celebrity neighbors for this lucky man include singer Ariana Grande, actor Dakota Johnson, and comedian Jimmy Kimmel. He also won the lottery. This villa is one of the most expensive real estate sales in the Hollywood Hills to date, according to the report in The Guardian.
According to the report in The Guardian, Edwin Castro's prized residence features a ton of opulent amenities. It boasts an infinity pool, a movie theater, a wine cellar, a game room, a steam room, a fitness gym, and a sauna. This property has five bedrooms and six bathrooms and is located above the renowned Chateau Marmont hotel.
The 13,500 square feet that Roman James Design created are widely dispersed over the entire property, according to the New York Post's story. This villa also boasts a fireplace, an open kitchen with stunning black granite worktops, a dining room, and many other items, according to the report in the Post. Early in November, Mr. Edwin purchased all of the winning lottery tickets in Altadena, California, matching all six of the winning numbers.
The lottery officials read Mr. Castro's written statement, in which he expressed his shock and ecstasy at winning, as they announced his name. Mr. Castro's identity remains unknown since California law only permits the publication of a person's complete name, the name and location of the retailer who sold them the winning ticket, the date the jackpot was won, and the winnings amount (including details of payouts).
Up until this point, 45 states—including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands—have participated in the Powerball lottery. Did you realize that each and every ticket costs $2 in addition to this?
