As Israel and Hezbollah exchanged a barrage of missles on Sunday, former US president Donald Trump hit out at the Joe Biden government for the rapidly escalating tensions in the Middle East. Trump questioned the Biden administration's efforts in negotiating for the US as Middle East simmered. The Republican presidential candidate warned the US government and emphasised that there should not be a third world war.

Expressing concern over the growing animosity between the middle eastern nations, Trump asked, "Who is negotiating for us in the Middle East? Bombs are dropping all over the place!"

Trump lambasted US President Joe Biden as he said, "Sleepy Joe is sleeping on a Beach in California, viciously Exiled by the Democrats, and Comrade Kamala is doing a campaign bus tour with Tampon Tim, her really bad V.P. Pick. Let's not have World War lll, because that's where we're heading!"

Trump's statement came as the Middle East witnessed fresh hostility, following Israeli pre-emptive strikes on what it described as "terror targets in Lebanon". Israel claimed these actions were in response to Hezbollah's alleged preparations to launch missiles and rockets toward Israeli territory.

Hezbollah denied the accusations, calling them "baseless". In retaliation, Hezbollah launched its own strikes, labeling them as the "first phase" of its response to Israel and declaring the operation a "complete success", according to CNN.

Earlier on Thursday, Trump targeted Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris as he said, "There will be no future under Comrade Kamala Harris, because she will take us into a Nuclear World War III! She will never be respected by the Tyrants of the World!"

He made these remarks after Harris discussed the war in Gaza during her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC). Trump then criticised Harris over her speech in a post on his Truth Social account.

In her address, Harris voiced support for Israel and said, "I will always stand up for Israel's right to defend itself, and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself, because the people of Israel must never again face the horror that a terrorist organization called Hamas caused."
