Veteran Hollywood actress Barbara Rush passed away on March 31 at the age of 97. The news of her demise was confirmed by her daughter, Claudia Cowan in an official statement to FOX News. Barbara Rush started her career in films in 1950 with the movie 'The Goldbergs'. She later won the Golden Globe Award for 'Most Promising Newcomer Female' for her stellar performance in 'It Came From Outer Space'.
While speaking to Fox News about her mother, Claudia Cowan said, "My wonderful mother passed away peacefully at 5:28 this evening. I was with her this morning and know she was waiting for me to return home safely to transition. It’s fitting she chose to leave on Easter as it was one of her favorite holidays and now, of course, Easter will have a deeper significance for me and my family."

My beautiful mother was called to heaven on Easter of all days- a nod to the transition and resilience and joy we celebrate on this happy holiday- and I know she will stay alive on in our hearts through cherished memories and movie reruns. She was elegant and classic actress and the best mom in the world. Among the last of Old Hollywood Royalty, I will always be your biggest fan. RIP Mom."
