Chadwick Boseman is set to be honoured with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame on November 20. The star to felicitating the late actor, who is mainly known for his work in Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The ceremony is set to take place on 6904 Hollywood Boulevard. The official walk of fame said in a note, “Actor Chadwick Bosemen will be honoured posthumously with the 2,828th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, November 20th, at 11.30 am PT at 6904 Hollywood Boulevard. Boseman will receive his posthumous star in the category of Motion Pictures.”

Chadwick Boseman passed away at the age of 43 in 2020 due to colon cancer. At the Walk Of Fame event, his widow Simone Ledward-Boseman will accept the recognition on the late actor’s behalf. A Billboard report said that Viola Davis, the late actor’s costar from his last film-Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Ryan Coogler are expected to address the event. Notably, the event is set to livestream on walkoffame.com. The event will be hosted by Steve Nissen, President and CEO of Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

In a statement, Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said, “The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is deeply honoured to celebrate Chadwick Boseman’s extraordinary legacy with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His powerful performances and enduring impact both on and off screen continue to inspire generations around the world.”

Chadwick Boseman made his debut in Hollywood, playing the late football legend, Floyd Little, in the 2008 American sports film, The Express: The Ernie Davis Story. He then got his big break with his performance in 42 (2013), in the role of the late baseball legend Jackie Robinson. His other notable films include 2014’s and Marshall (2017). He got global stardom as his titular role in Black Panther, which was released in 2018. Apart from these, he was part of films like 21 Bridges, Gods of Egypt, Avengers: Endgame, Message from the King, Avengers: Infinity War, Draft Day, and Black Widow, to name a few.
