Hannah Montana Fame Mitchel Musso Arrested On Charges Of Public Intoxication And Theft: Report

Mitchel Musso, who starred in Disney’s popular teen show ‘Hannah Montana’, was reportedly arrested on charges of public intoxication and theft. The actor featured as Miley Cyrus’ best friend Oliver Oken in the show. According to a report in the USA Today, Mitchel Musso was arrested on Saturday night in Rockwall, Texas. The incident took place after following an argument after someone reported a disturbance at a local hotel. 

Now, according to a press release from the Rockwall Police Department, police were called to the scene after the 32-year-old actor allegedly entered the hotel and stole a bag of chips. The actor appeared to be intoxicated, and was asked to pay for the chips. He started verbally abusing and left without paying. 

Mitchel demonstrated signs of intoxication outside the hotel and was arrested on two counts i.e. public intoxication and theft under $100. The actor was transported to the Rockwall County Detention Center and spent one night in jail. On Sunday afternoon, he was released after posting a $1,000 bond. A background check also revealed that Musso had several outstanding traffic warrants against him.

However, this isn’t the first time the Disney actor has had a run-in with the law. In 2011, he was allegedly arrested for driving under the influence in California at the age of 20. The actor had blood alcohol content of ‘well over’ the legal limit of 0.8 percent.

Mitchel shot to fame as a teenager in the late 2000s for essaying the role of Oliver Oken. The show also featured Emily Osment and Jason Earles in pivotal roles. Musso also gave his voice in the popular animated series ‘Phineas and Ferb.’ He was the voice of Jeremy.
