South Korean pop sensation HyunA, best known for her chart-topping hits and electrifying performances, left fans in shock after collapsing on stage during a live concert in Macau. The incident took place at the Waterbomb 2025 Music Festival, where the singer was performing her iconic track Bubble Pop. Midway through the performance, HyunA suddenly fainted, leading to chaos at the venue. Her backup dancers and security staff rushed to her aid, carrying her off stage as the music stopped and fans looked on in panic. A video of the incident quickly went viral on social media, prompting an outpouring of concern from fans around the world.
Following the incident, HyunA took to Instagram to apologise to her fans and explain what had happened. The Kpop star revealed that she had lost nearly 10 kilograms in just 30 days after facing online trolling about her weight gain following marriage. Rumours of pregnancy had begun circulating, pushing her to begin a strict diet on October 3. “I wanted to show a good performance, but it didn’t happen. Honestly, I don’t remember anything from the stage,” HyunA wrote. She went on to apologise to her fans for worrying them and promised to focus on her health and recovery.

According to The Korea Times, the singer admitted that the extreme dieting had taken a serious toll on her health. Her management team confirmed that HyunA was under medical supervision following the collapse and was advised to rest and recover. Fans across social media platforms flooded HyunA’s posts with messages of love and concern. One fan commented, “Please take care of yourself, HyunA. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone.” Another wrote, “Stay healthy, you’ve always been beautiful just the way you are.” Many expressed frustration over the intense beauty standards in the Kpop industry, noting that artists often face immense pressure to maintain unrealistic body images.

Meanwhile, HyunA, who married fellow Kpop singer and songwriter Yong Jun-hyung in 2024, had previously shared updates about her health and fitness journey on social media. Earlier this month, she posted a picture showing her weight at 49 kilograms, sparking concerns among fans about her rapid transformation. Medical experts have since warned that losing such a significant amount of weight in a short period can lead to dangerous side effects, including extreme fatigue, dizziness, and nutrient deficiency.
