'Only Murders In The Building' recently impressed the audience worldwide with its entertaining fourth season. Starring Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin in the lead roles, the series revolves around three strangers who start a crime podcast after a brutal death in their apartment building. The show has been receiving praise and appreciation since its first season and has officially been renewed for its fifth season due to its success.

According to a report by Variety, 'Only Murders In The Building Season 5' will have 10 episodes and its release date has not been unveiled yet. The show's fourth season premiered on August 27 and its last episode will air on October 29. Selena plays the role of Mabel Nora with Steven Martin and Martin Short essaying the roles of Charles Haden and Oliver Putman respectively.

In an interview with E! News, Steve Martin talked about working with Selena and said, "When we first met Selena, she was already self-possessed and dignified and sophisticated. So, if anything, we've just seen that creep up a little bit, as it should with maturity. But she was already there—a real person we admired and respected."

To this, Selena added, "It's just been a joy to have people I can look up to and just be reminded that life is good."

Showrunner John Hoffman earlier told The Hollywood Reporter, "I think the idea of what you create is a thing you put out to the world, and sometimes you can’t be prepared for the repercussions of what potentially the world does with your thing, and how they feel about it."

He added, "That’s a challenging line to walk, and sometimes you have to face it in that way. So, the podcast and everything else that’s happened, and what it all means, and what it could have been meaning all along. That’s a really interesting world to look at for these three who stepped in that way."

Meryl Streep, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Kumail Nanjiani, Molly Shannon and Zach Galifianakis were also seen in the fourth season.
