Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially parted ways, marking the end of their marital union. According to court documents obtained by People, the Los Angeles County Superior Court declared the couple's marriage dissolved, and they are now legally single as of Friday, February 21. This formalisation of their divorce comes after the pair finalised the terms of their separation on January 6. 

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony, citing irreconcilable differences. She listed April 26, 2024, as their separation date and requested no spousal support, split attorney's fees, and restoration of her maiden name, Jennifer Lynn Lopez.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have maintained a cordial relationship despite their split, often attending family events together. They were spotted at a family gathering in September with their kids, including Affleck's children, Seraphina and Samuel, from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner, and Lopez's twins, Max and Emme.¹ The former couple also reunited for a holiday meal at Soho House in Los Angeles just before Christmas.

It's worth noting that Lopez and Affleck's marriage was a relatively short-lived one, having tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022. The couple later celebrated their nuptials with a grander ceremony in Georgia on August 20, 2022, surrounded by friends and family. 

Despite their whirlwind romance and highly publicized wedding celebrations, the couple's relationship has come to an end, and they are now moving forward as single individuals.
