Epstein Case: Billionaire Elon Musk has once again stirred the embers of the Jeffrey Epstein controversy, publicly pressing the Trump administration over missing evidence and a lack of transparency in a case that has haunted America’s political elite for years.
On social media platform X, Musk responded to a viral post questioning the status of Epstein-related evidence with a blunt retort: “Yeah, where is it?” In a follow-up, he demanded to know the status of “Phase 2” of the declassified Epstein files—documents that Attorney General Pamela Bondi had promised would be released following the initial disclosure earlier this year.

Musk’s comments arrived hours after the Trump administration abruptly fired Manhattan federal prosecutor Maurene Comey, who had been involved in the Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell investigations. The sudden dismissal has raised alarm bells among legal experts and fueled conspiracy theories already running rampant in MAGA circles.
Epstein, a wealthy financier and convicted sex offender, died in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges of sex trafficking minors. The case, already rife with speculation, took a darker turn after Epstein's death was ruled a suicide, leading to widespread public skepticism. His longtime associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in recruiting and grooming young girls for Epstein over nearly a decade.

Trump, who has been photographed with both Epstein and Maxwell in the past, has repeatedly denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes. However, testimony during Maxwell’s trial revealed that Trump had been a passenger on Epstein’s private jet on multiple occasions—though no wrongdoing has been proven. The inclusion of such details in FBI files is not necessarily incriminating, as such documents often contain raw or unverified intelligence.
Still, Trump’s decision to delay the release of additional documents—after promising a full disclosure—has outraged parts of his political base. Some MAGA supporters who once embraced Epstein-related conspiracy theories as a cudgel against Democrats now find themselves accusing their own political champion of stonewalling justice.

In response to the backlash, the White House is reportedly exploring damage control strategies, including the unsealing of new documents, appointment of a special prosecutor, and even drafting executive orders targeting child exploitation. According to a Reuters report, senior officials have also reached out to prominent MAGA influencers, urging them to temper their criticism and refocus on broader “America First” objectives.
