NYC Shooting:The recent mass shooting in Midtown Manhattan has left investigators and the public reeling, not just from the senseless violence, but from the eerie setting of the gunman’s final act. Shane Tamura, a 27-year-old shooter who killed four people on July 29 before fatally shooting himself, ended his rampage on the 33rd floor of a high-rise at 345 Park Avenue, a detail that has sparked a flurry of bizarre and conspiratorial theories online.

According to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, Tamura drove from Las Vegas to New York City, parked a black BMW near the entrance of the skyscraper, and entered with an M4 rifle around 6:28 pm He shot and killed Officer Didarul Islam, 36, followed by a woman hiding behind a pillar, and then a security guard at the front desk. Another man was critically injured in the lobby.

Tamura then entered an elevator, allowed a woman to walk free, and ascended to the 33rd floor, where Rudin Properties’ corporate offices are located. There, he shot another individual and finally turned the weapon on himself. The incident was declared contained by 7:52 pm.

Number 33: Coincidence Or Conspiracy?

Social media was quick to latch onto one particular detail, Tamura’s suicide on the 33rd floor. On X, users began questioning the symbolic weight of the number. “What is the significance of the number 33?” asked one user, sparking a firestorm of speculation.

Some commenters claimed the number was tied to Freemasonry, suggesting it was not random but part of a coded message. Others linked the number to Jesus Christ’s age at crucifixion or the belief that one-third (33 per cent) of angels were cast out of Heaven.

Other theories dove deeper into conspiracy, suggesting Tamura’s act was part of a staged psychological operation (psy-op). “This is orchestrated to usher in the beast system,” wrote one user, referring to alleged plans for global digital identification and loss of free will under Agenda 2030.

Even gematria, a numerological code assigning values to letters, was invoked. One post claimed “Rudin” equals 333, while “New York” equals 666, adding fuel to the fire for those suspicious of the attack’s timing and location.

While the internet speculates wildly, investigators have not yet identified a political, ideological, or symbolic motive behind Tamura’s attack. There is no confirmed link to Freemasonry, occult symbolism, or any larger movement.
