The US Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday released a new batch of approximately 11,000 documents related to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, including references to former President Donald Trump and other high-profile individuals. The release comes as part of an effort to comply with a law mandating the disclosure of Epstein-related records, following a highly redacted batch issued last week.

Among the newly disclosed files is an internal email dated January 7, 2020, detailing flight records showing Trump travelled on Epstein’s private jet more times than previously reported. The email, sent under the subject line “RE: Epstein flight records,” was signed by an Assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, though the identities of the sender and recipient were withheld.

The documents list Trump as a passenger on at least eight flights with Epstein. Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former associate, was recorded on four of these trips. Some flights also included Trump’s then-wife Marla Maples, daughter Tiffany Trump, and son Eric Trump. One flight listed only Epstein and Trump as passengers, while another included a 20-year-old man whose identity remains confidential.

Allegations Against Epstein Highlighted

The new documents also contain a grand jury interview with an unnamed FBI agent from May 2007, referencing an allegation that Epstein recruited a 15-year-old girl for a topless massage. The agent reported that a witness had recruited other girls from their peer group, noting, “Epstein liked girls like her, which is thin and blonde and attractive,” according to the Independent.

Other files describe Epstein’s selectivity regarding the age and appearance of the girls he allowed to work for him. In one note from a May 2019 interview, Epstein reportedly asked for proof of a girl’s age to ensure she was under 18. He is said to have dismissed some candidates he “didn’t really like” and even rejected one potential masseur as “too old” at 23.

Controversial Letters And References

A letter allegedly written by Epstein to Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics doctor convicted of sexual abuse, was also among the files. Postmarked August 13, 2019, three days after Epstein’s death in a Manhattan jail, the letter references Trump, claiming, “Our president also shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to ‘grab snatch,’ whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system.” The letter was signed, “Yours, J. Epstein.”

DOJ Response

The DOJ has described sensational claims in the files as “unverified” and cautioned against interpreting inclusion in the documents as evidence of criminal wrongdoing. While Trump is mentioned in flight logs and other files, there is no indication that he was involved in any criminal activity.

The recent release follows widespread criticism of earlier batches, which were heavily redacted and seen by some Republicans as insufficiently transparent, especially with the 2026 midterm elections approaching. This new batch provides additional context to Epstein’s network and movements but stops short of establishing culpability for those named.
