An unscripted moment aboard a presidential aircraft involving US President Donald Trump has gone viral after he was accidentally bumped by a lavatory door during an in-flight media interaction, drawing laughter from reporters and even members of the Secret Service.

The incident took place as Trump was travelling to Monroe County in northeast Pennsylvania, where he later delivered a speech focused on affordability. While reporters adjusted their microphones in the narrow cabin aisle, Trump joked about protecting the aircraft, saying, “You’re gonna have to take it easy on that thing! It’s a government plane, but I like to take care of it.”

Bathroom Door Accidentally Bumps President

Before the press pool’s Q&A began, a member of the administration had stepped into the aircraft’s lavatory. As Trump stood in front of the door taking questions, it suddenly swung open and lightly bumped him. Smiling at the unexpected interruption, Trump reacted with, “Oh, hello. Someone is in there!”

Despite the interruption, Trump continued speaking with reporters. Moments later, he tapped twice on the door and said, “Come on out!” The staffer quietly exited behind him, while a nearby Secret Service agent was seen laughing at the brief exchange.

Turbulence Cuts Short Press Conference

Shortly after the humorous incident, the aircraft encountered turbulence, forcing Trump to wrap up the press session. He instructed those on board to take their seats ahead of takeoff, bringing the impromptu interaction to an early close.

Just before the session ended, the lavatory door reportedly swung open once more, prompting Trump to quip, “Hello! Somebody’s in there. Come on out!” The clip has since spread rapidly across social media platforms, with users describing it as a rare, light-hearted glimpse into an unscripted presidential moment.
